Bio
Chris Mathews is a New Zealand-born writer, skeptic, and lecturer living in Tokyo. He is a philosophy graduate from the University of Auckland and the author of Modern Satanism: Anatomy of a Radical Subculture (Praeger 2009). His publications include articles on religion, ethics, Japanese and Asian culture, politics, and travel. He teaches at Meiji University, Hosei University, and Meiji Gakuin University in Tokyo.
Chris also runs Philosophical Misadventures, a site dedicated to documenting some of the more questionable views of famous philosophers. He is currently researching the history of philosophy and Japanese Buddhism.
